Meet the Trial Lawyers Section 2020-2021 Executive Committee
Wiley Hicks, of The Law Office of Wiley Hicks, has been selected to serve as Chair of the Trial Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar. Mr. Hicks has a statewide practice specializing in eminent domain and is proud to be the second legacy chair in the history of the Section. His father, Bill Hicks of Colson Hicks Eidson in Miami, served as chair in 1983.
Lewis W. “Wil” Murphy, Jr., of Murphy & Walker, P.L. has been selected to serve as Chair-Elect of the Trial Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar. Mr. Murphy practices commercial litigation and defends professional liability claims throughout the State and is double-board certified in both Civil Trial and Business Litigation by The Florida Bar.
Weston F. Smith, of Masterson, Hoag & Smith, P.A., has been selected to serve as Secretary-Treasurer of The Florida Bar’s Trial Lawyers Section, and will serve in that capacity during the 2020-2021 FLABAR year. In addition, Mr. Smith currently serves as the Secretary for the Tampa Bay Chapter of ABOTA, and will be the Chapter’s Vice-President for 2021. Mr. Smith has a statewide practice specializing in plaintiff’s medical malpractice and significant personal injury claims.
Clifford “Sandy” Sanborn, of Barron & Redding, P.A. will remain as Immediate Past Chair of The Florida Bar’s Trial Lawyers Section for the 2020-2021 FLABAR year. Mr. Sanborn practices commercial litigation in Panama City.
