The Trial Lawyers Section annually hosts the Civil Trial Update & Board Certification Review. The two-day seminar is intended to assist those who have applied to take the certification exam in Civil Trial or Business Litigation in preparing for the exam or those thinking about taking the exam in the future. It is also a refresher course for anyone practicing Civil or Business Litigation. Each year the course covers relevant topics such as Trial Skills, including Opening & Closing, Voir Dire, and Preserving the Record for Appeal, Electronic Discovery, and recent updates relevant to everyday practice for Civil and Business litigators.
