BREAKING NEWS: Florida Supreme Court Extends Suspension of Civil Jury Trials until July 17, 2020.
On June 8, 2020, Chief Justice Charles Canady amended two earlier orders in regards to jury proceedings.
According to www.floridasupremecourt.org, the first newly amended order extends the current suspension of jury proceedings including grand juries, jury selection, and criminal and civil jury trials through July 17, 2020. The statewide grand jury investigating school violence has also been postponed until July 26, 2020.

The second newly amended order outlines an ongoing remote civil jury trial pilot program. Circuits participating in the pilot program have been asked to report findings and recommendations to the COVID-19 Workgroup by October 2, 2020. The circuits that have been selected to participate in the pilot program are:
